Strange, Weird and Fetish Computer Art Gallery

this is a water color i did way back in 1996. real small - i think the whole thing is only about 10 inches tall. it was one of those 'one sitting' paintings where i just started and by the end of the evening discovered i'd pretty much finished the painting!

i was using a book on famous movie actress as reference. this particular photo really caught my attention. it's Gloria Swanson - famous silent movie starlet. i just love the theatrical posing and props they used back then. i especially loved the exotic effect they got by wrapping the silk scarf around her head like a turban. the peacock feather provides the perfect exotic finish.
