i was on an angel kick at the time... i think i did this right after i did 'sonic cathedral' and decided i'd show the angel doing various things. in this version, she's wading in the water at Flame Tree Point, watching the sun set.
at the time, bryce did not do trees so good, so we tried to use one someone had made in 3dstudio, but it wasn't such a hot tree either (too angular). might just have to re-render this one with a new tree, now that bryce does them reasonably well.
one point of interest about this image is that it was rendered at an 8 foot tall size and then printed up for banners to be put up at conventions. we printed the banner on metallic paper so the whole thing looks like mother-of-pearl. i must say, aside from the rudimentary shapes, the whole effect is quite eye catching. rending the thing in such a huge size took me weeks, back then!
