way way long ago, when i was working with Phil Brucato (the White Wolf game writer) on his Deliria project, one of the illustrations was to be for the 'Sophisticati' - the upper crust who by virtue of having every wish fulfilled as a result of their wealth and affluence have, over centuries, become a unique race unto themselves. insulated and singular, often augmented with cyber enhancements, like most rich and bored people, have developed a standard for beauty and 'culture' so alien it is beyond the normal human's comprehension. and, indeed, us lowly humans would not be expected to understand because of our limited resources and perspectives - we have nothing in common with them and no frame of reference by which we could possibly understand what motivates them to such extreme and to us, grotesque, transformations.
everything in this image is a fractal, except for the eyes. for the 'face' i did take the fractal and map it onto DAZ3D's Victoria figure so that as the fractal would conform a bit more to the shape of a human face.
